Web Design
I have learned how to code websites using XHTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3 and some jQuery and Javascript.
For one project, I designed a template for Vox Magazine, Columbia’s arts and entertainment magazine, and the Journalism School’s convergence students to use for a project they did about parenthood. My template was chosen from what the class submitted. You can see some screenshots of the website below.
Below are some links to sites I have coded:
- Basic site in XHTML and CSS introducing myself to my class.
- A site about Columbia’s annual True/False Film Festival.
- A site about parenthood done in conjunction with Vox Magazine
Print Design
During the Fall 2010 semester, I was the Production Manager for The Maneater Student Newspaper.
I won two design awards for MCMA’s 2010-11 competition, one for the Football Preview cover and one for front-page design from our November MSA election front.
